BROSE NOSE: PALACE GRAND HOTEL / Varese, Italy

This year marks 100 years since the opening of one of the most majestic hotels in northern Italy, the Palace Grande Hotel Varese. Perched up on the hill Campigli and surrounded by dramatic, mature pines, this hotel oozes so much old world charm that you practically feel transported back in time. It even boasts having its own funicular. You know, in case you`ve had too much prosecco at one of the many charming cafes in town below and the hill proves to be too daunting. I speak from experience (P.S. Varese used to be my home).
