You would have no idea that Karl Lagerfeld
lives on the historic Quai Voltaire in the heart of the romantic city
of lights. Completely modern and streamlined, Lagerfeld's apartment is
practically black and white, save for one room which acts as a shrine to
his staggering collection of art books. Lagerfeld says that he wanted
to be surrounded by glass and transparency, because in his daily life he
is constantly surrounded by color.
