ART / frozen flowers by by AZUMA MAKOTO

Tokyo based flower master Azuma Makoto has created 16 super-sized bouquets in large ice blocks.  Set in a dimly lit industrial space, the results are even more dramatic in the way the giant floral sculptures are lit up against the dreary backdrop.

SWEDEN / modern country home

Located in Linköping, Sweden, the "House of Mother" is  work in progress designed by Faf Architects.  Essentially formed by two equal sized barn-ish spaces, the exterior is entirely covered in corrugated aluminum while the interior is warm & cozy with an exposed timber structure and walls lined with plywood.  Polished concrete wraps along the floor and forms a bench structure throughout the space.  Ikea, please take notes.

PARIS / white loft at MOULIN ROUGE

The Moulin Rouge district is past its stage of up-and-coming and is now in full-blown hipster status, with so many new bars & cafes coming onto the scene it is almost hard to keep up.  This white little gem of an apartment located in the heart of the 9th is one of our latest finds and could easily make it into our PARIS / Montmartre: Top 5 Places To StayWhite, bleached wood, fluffy feathers, and accents of black make this a soothing retreat in the bustling streets of lower Montmartre.  Of course, the feature that makes this loft irresistible is the private terrace and -- can you believe it? -- a patch of grass with rose bushes.  Incoyable.

It's always a good time for a ballerina moment.

CANNES / The Martinez Grand Hyatt

If you are going to attend the Cannes Festival, you may as well do it with a bang.  The Grand Hyatt Martinez, situated in the heart of the Bay of Cannes with unobstructed views of the Mediterranean Sea, is probably the most authentic 'Cannes' experience you will have during the festival (well, if you are able to get past the fakeness of the industry).  Because this 5 Star hotel has lots to brag about: the only private beach on the Croisette, 400+ luxury rooms, the largest Penthouse Suite in all of Europe, and the only 2-Star Michelin gastronomic restaurant in all of Cannes.  With a history dating back to 1874, the Martinez is definitely here to stay.

On a stroll last night down Ossington we stumbled upon a little treat: our neighbourhood's favorite butcher, Côte de Boeuf, is now open at night for drinks + nibbles.  Following the success of their private dining services, the CDB offers yummy wine by the glass and some heart-warming snacks: Croque Monsieur, warm olives, ribs, to name a few.  We opted for the 'buck a shuck' - fresh oysters that have come all the way from New Brunswick, shucked just for you at $1 each. Just like their big brother restaurant, Union, the CDB never disappoints.

WANT / confetti chair by MODERNICA

Literally inspired by confetti, the classic mid-century Eiffel Chair has been reinvented with confetti imbedded inside the high-pressurized fiberglass.  Handcrafted in Los Angeles by MODENICA, you can choose between an orange or yellow wire frame.  Now that's a chair to sit on.

BRIDAL / this week's favorites

With Spring around the corner, we've been Pinning like crazy.
Here are some of this week's favorite Pins.

Huge shocker - Kate Moss is just as stunning without any PhotoShop as she is with it.  But I don't really care about PhotoShopping avec or sans - the reason why I love this shoot so much is because it reminds me of the good ole' days of The 90's Supermodel.  Even though Kate infamously was the one to put an end to the super-amazon model with her petite-ness and ahead-of-her-time hipster look, I love how Peter Lindbergh has come full circle with this shoot by blending both worlds... dare we call it "Hipster Glam"?
