BROOKLYN / monastic townhouse in Cobble Hill

This townhouse in Cobble Hill, Brooklyn, was recently completely gutted & renovated in a style that reminds me of many of the apartments where I have stayed in Paris: the wood post & beams, the chevron wood flooring, the use of white, and the minimalist decor all make me want to dip pieces of  baguette into a café au lait.  Designed by Elizabeth Roberts for a couple and their growing family, the existing garden shed was replaced with a new structure that serves as a writer’s cottage in the garden.  Très cozy.
